Benjamin followed up with his pediatrician on Monday. He weighed 12lbs, 11oz (95%) and was 24 1/2 inches long (was not even on the growth curve). Dr. Minaya said that his respiratory cultures from the hospital showed that he had influenza type A (the seasonal flu) and that it was really good that he only had a fever for one day because some babies get really sick from the flu.
